2 Cold Cases That Were Solved In 2021

Though we try to make sure to cover a mix of solved and unsolved crimes on this channel, I think most people would agree that generally the open-ended cases carry an additional emotional weight to them. It’s one thing to know that something terrible has happened to someone — it’s quite another to know that the victim, or their friends and family have been left without answers, and in the case of many missing persons or unsolved murder investigations, often without any form of closure.

Therefore, if you ask us, there’s nothing quite as satisfying or fascinating as when a cold case is finally solved. These are investigations that have sometimes taken decades to finally come together, usually after the emergence of a vital new piece of information or evidence, or even because of newly available technology in the field of forensics. Still others come in the form of long overdue confessions.

Today we wanted to look at 2 examples of these crimes, focusing on cold cases that were solved in 2021. Keep in mind that since most of these crimes were only solved this year they have not yet been taken to court, however, we still felt that they were alright to cover now since the evidence is quite compelling, or else is the result of a direct confession.

Before we get to into today’s cases we wanted to remind you that if you enjoy our videos don’t forget to like and subscribe to Crime Zone for more true crime content like this, it really helps us to support the channel, and if you’ve watched a few of our videos already you might not even realize that you’re not subscribed.
