It’s not hard to understand why many people choose to go on vacations in RVs — aside from saving money on hotels and other accommodations, the vehicle/trailer combos offer adventurers the freedom that comes from going on a road trip, along with many of the comforts of home.

Of course, making the world your backyard does come with certain downsides. It’s not always possible to know what kinds of people are around when you choose to settle down somewhere, and carrying so much stuff in such a large vehicle can make travellers easy targets of crimes like thefts or robberies.

However, occasionally these kinds of situations can get even darker, leading to injury, or even death. Today we wanted to take a look at two stories like this — cases where RV vacations ended in tragedy.
